This week went by really quickly.... this post will be done with little or no use of the "shift" key... it is sub-par.

 

monday and tuesday were two down days for me, i was sick and i had a fever and what not, but now i am better... l'awe (good).

 

wednesday was my b-day and what a day it was. fun stuff... my team threw this b-day for me with real cake from our local food place, and we had a small get together with my team. they invited the family that we are staying with and the family got me small gifts as well... it was really touching. at one point the littlest girl, her name is srey peckdt, got up on the table and with the help of tom--our translator--sang a really khmer song about love. the title was the meaning of love... it was hilarious... and it was the end of a good day of ministry and it was a good first day of me being 19. hehe i definitely will not forget my b-day in cambodia... :o)

 

on thursday we chilled at the orphanage and we played some killer games with them, those kids are amazing, there is this one boy though that needs prayer, he is one of the handi-capped boys there i know that there is something going on in his head... he needs to feel some type of love... because he is lacking it. he comes to me and i just hug on him when he's near by and he eats it up... he is in need of some major God sized proportions of love.

 

on friday michelle and i went to the pagoda and we sat and talked with our two monk friends... sambath and mung. they are both leaving the pagoda after the chinese new year. and after talking we were able to share with them how God has been providing for us to do the things that he is calling us to do... it was good. sambath was talking with me afterwards and he desires a longer relationship with me... he is really apt on getting my email and me emailing him every once in a while. he's a really cool monk... soon to be ex-monk... pray that i am able to talk with him more and share with him what i can.

 

i'm really excited to be finishing strong. that is what we need to do -- finish strong as we come to a close here in battambang. i'm really excited because i know God is doing, has been doing, and will continue to do things here because of what my team has been able to do. we have about a week and a half left here. we leave battambang on the 16th... then we'll go to thailand and then back to hawaii.
