• Health -- that I would be completely made better. That my team would be healed of their sicknesses too.
• Spiritually -- That we'd all be listening to God for what he wants our team to do. We are in preparation mode and we will leave for Battdambang on the 4th.
• Safety -- During our Moto Dope travels here, and for safe travel to Battdambang when we go. (I don't know when I'll be able to post next.)
• Clarity -- That I'd be able to hear God clearly for what he wants me to do in me, through me, and around me.

I'm in a Cambodian Internet Cafe right now. I am working on posting some pictures so that you all can see what I am doing right now. It's REALLY cool here. I am definitely loving every second of it. Please keep praying for me, for safe travel, for boosted immunity ( a bunch of people on my team are sick ) and for ministry opportunities. We want to be able to see where God want us, also we want to be available for anyone who might need our help. I'm loving you guys from a distance. Hopefully you like these pictures. I'm keeping a travel journal for myself -- and I'll probably be able to update you more throughly at another date. Right now we are working on a time crunch, I am not sure if the pictures will be uploaded by the time that I need to leave. I'm hoping so. I love you guys so much and I really appreciate all of your prayers and all of your thoughts.

Seeing as how I don't think that I will be able to to write when it's actually Christmas... I'll do it now. MERRY CHRISTMAS! I will be leaving in about 6 hours to fly to Honolulu, Tokyo, Bangkok and then on the 26th I'll be in Cambodia. I can't wait. I am SO excited.


I don't know if I'll be able to have internet readily available where I am at. But I will do my best to get in contact with this blog thing... and with the mass e-mails. Hopefully I'll be able to send updates. I know Chris wanted to update so hopefully he'll be able to do that as well. Thanks guys for your support. I love ya'll. I need to go get some of my things together. I can't wait to see what God does.

Ok I lied... there will be no colors in this email... :o) Sorry!

First off MERRY CHRISTMAS! I can't believe that it's almost Christmas... time has been flying by and I am constantly amazed at the work that God has been doing in my own life, and in the lives of the people here. (I know Chris is in the very same boat!)

Chris and I were talking, just tonight, and we both agreed that if we could only walk away with one thing from DTS that we could walk away at this very moment. Here at DTS we’ve discovered what it really means to hear God. We are starting to hear his voice everyday and we are noticing that the type of relationship that we have with God, individually of course, is now defined by him and not by speakers or leaders or anything else, other than him. It has been AMAZING.

Just so you guys know, if you don’t already, we have a blog up that we’ve been updating a bunch since we’ve been here. It’s located at (http://dtstraveljournal.blogspot.com) and it has pictures and stories and what not of our trip here. Just check the left hand column and click on a month and see pictures and our thoughts.

We’ve been so busy with everything. With lecture, classes, outreach preparation, fun traveling, loving the people here, but now we are nearing the end of our lecture phase and we are entering into OUTREACH MODE!

For those of you that don’t know Chris and I will be going to different places. Chris will be going to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I will be headed to Batdambang, Cambodia. It is definitely going to be a good time and we are both expecting to come back with stories that will rock our socks off... and yours as well.

The travel plans, if you'd like to know, are as follow:
December 23 - Leave Kona on a plane, we will fly into Tokyo, Japan.
December 24 - Arrive in Tokyo (we loose an entire day because of the International Date Line) after a short 3 hours lay over we will depart to Thailand.
December 25 - Arrive in Thailand; as an entire school we will spend Christmas together in Thailand. It will be great fun, but all of you will be sorely missed.
December 26 - The teams go orientation in their respective ministry areas and we will all depart.

We are psyched for what God is going to do in us, through us, and around us as we wait on him. We love you guys so much and we thank you for your prayers and for your love as we go through this new journey in our lives.

Chris and I really can’t show our love and support for you guys accurately… so we’ve done something heartfelt and cheesy… here is a picture from us… to you!

To stay true to the days of updating ... that's today. Today we heard a guy speak by the name of Fred Market--he is talking about how freakin' amazing missions are and how we all heed the call that Jesus made to go to the nations. ...

His view, which I like, is that the church should bring Heaven to Earth--that they should make the connection from God to man... whereas in the past churches have expected people to come to them... but we should go to them.. where they are at... to help them out. It's pretty neat. I'm a fan of it.

I'm eating EasyMac right now--I'm REALLY hungry.

I sent in an application to for a school in Taiwan... I've been thinking about maybe doing SBS (School of Biblical Studies) basically it's where you read the entire Bible and chart it. So that you know exactly what the Bible is saying and how it is written and what not. It looks like a REALLY cool course and I'm praying about it. If God wants me there he'll do two things... confirm it... and provide a way for me to go. It's definitly pretty cool serving a God that... cares. I am a fan.

Well then that's the update for this day of Wed-nes-day.

I have to start this post off with ... well... fufilling my mom's request of posting an image with her in it too... I didn't realize that I didn't do that until... well until she told me. Hehe so here it is...

Now... for the weekend update. Saturday played out as normal and it was a chill day. Sunday, however, was an adventure. Let me tell the tale of Sunday... :o)

Emerging from a Porta-John (or lou as it would be in Canada...) is Chris with his spear in hand getting ready for a day of hunting and riding... oh... there was riding and much riding to be done.

With spear in hand, as mentioned before, we embarked on our traveling adventure--we came across a few scooters...

And we happened to take them on an adventure... But, sad as it were, Chris' spear was taken by some unknown force, was it God?, was it a theif? or was it some good soul? ... we'll never know.

Upon arriving to our destination, Mile 88, Chris and I well... deliberated on our next few steps... we decided that taking pictures beyond this point, at Mile 88, might jeopordize our plans...

Well.. we really just didn't bust out the camera, but let me tell you the waves here were the strongest waves that I've ever seen. The waves were way taller than we were and when they broke they threw us to the ground--or into the water--or under sand... whatever was closest. It was really fun.

We wasted the day, well not wasted, but we played the day away. We went to CostCo, Wal-Mart, and Jamba Juice. ... It was amazing... check us out!

Today, Monday, was a good and fun day. The speaker this week is going to be a good one. He is speaking on mission fields and how effective we are and how effective we can be. Based on where our hearts are. It's exciting... we also did more language study for Outreach preperation today. Interesting enough Khmir doesn't have a past, or future tense. All of the words are spoken in the present tense and you have to use context clues to figure out when the thing happens. (ex: Tomorrow we eat.) It's neat.

That's really all I can think of... OH a friend of ours that we met a month ago came back from Sudan a bit early and she told us of her adventures... that was cool. Sooo sleep time it is. NIGHT!

You ever had Easy Mac? That stuff is near Jesus quality--ok... so not THAT good... but it's pretty tasty. I, Chris, and Scott dinned on some Easy Mac curtousy of Tiff after our grueling game of Psychiatrist. It's a game where one person has to figure out what the common condition is on a large group of people. We played it for, no joke, 2 hours. Mr. Chris was our Psych guy and he did a very good job figuring it out.

BEFORE that we played Mafia -- where I successfully dodged all attempts, when I was Mafia, of being killed... (Alright, so I was Mafia ONE time... but who is counting ... right? I did a darn good job! :o))

EVEN BEFORE that... we saw this guy, and I can't recall his name right now, even if I could he asked us to not take pictures or tell people that he came to the base, and he is some guy that is a really talented vocalist. He can beat-box and sing at the SAME time... while keeping a beat. It was pretty HardCore. I was surprised. Anyway he talked to us about how he wants to see Christain artists infiltrating the secular world--effecting more people than just the Christians. Kind of the Jesus concept of "The well don't need a Dr... but the sick do.". It was pretty neat. Apperantly he's a big deal in Europe and his sister is a big deal here. It was neat.

The rest of the day went well. Oh... we missed lunch. That was sad, but good, so really it was bittersweet because the DTS's met together and we raised money for all in need... out of $121,000 needed they raised $61,000 out of poor DTS students... God's pretty neat.

Alrighty. I think that was the most comprihensive update (well we know that Justin cannot spell) that I've done in a long while. Enjoy! ... I probably should have said Enjoy at the beginning... maybe I'll put that now. I did. Night.

Alright. My updating ability has been less than perfect with this past week. I think I am going to shoot for three updates a week. Mondays – Wednesdays – Fridays.  Hopefully then I will be able to give good updates that matter and you guys can be awed and amazed at what is going on here. Sooo in keeping with my new updating idea I will do a complete update tomorrow, Friday, sorry that I won’t be able to update everyday. I love you guys.
