T'was a jaunt...

The expedition of fright that we started yesterday (we being Julia and myself) commenced once more… we traveled across the sinking sad desert…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>the dreaded sinking sand

To the fountain of doom…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>doom filled mountain (you have to be careful about the random water shooting out... it kills you when you touch it...)

To the … alright so we didn’t go to the hot tub today … but that’s alright. We did go swimming though and it was definitely a good time. We also undertook the task of scaling a HUGE mountain…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>check out this mountain… we freakin’ rock

And then… all of a sudden… out of NO WHERE. A WHITE MONSTER attacked Julia… she fought strong and she won.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>AHHHH It’s a WHITE MONSTER!!! [Justin]

After she escaped the white monster… she grabbed her cousin Kristina and her brother Justin and they posed outside of a Wendy’s food place – it’s crazy that in Hawaii that a Wendy’s fast food restraint has this cool of a view…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>crazy huh?

There WAS this crazy pig…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>piggy

AND a pineapple princess…

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>she’s really cute.

The expedition ended with laughter, joy, and pizza.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>look at the joy.

I am really happy that I was able to see my mom and seester and my cousin. My Seester though is definitely the coolest girl on the face of the planet. Alrighty… talk to you people later!

TURKEY DAY -- BELATED

November 24, 2005

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

This post will be accompanied by a few days worth of stuff… because where I am staying currently, upon writing of the first email day, I will not have internet… soooo enjoy the updates… I’ve worked to make them a bit more interesting.

Time: About 9 AM
Place: Building 4, YWAM, Kailua-Kona, HI, USA, EARTH
Character: Excited turkey eater (Justin)

Today he rose and partook in a continental breakfast. – And it was good.
Then he went to town and hung out with his friend Angela. – And it was good.
After he and Angela found lei’s for Justin’s mom and seester that came to visit him on the island to visit him for turkey day. – And it was good.
At about 2:00 Justin received a phone call from his mother that said , “We’re in the visitors center” … Justin said, “Where?”. Mom replied, “The visitors center”, apparently U of N has a visitors center… – And it was good.
He went up and found his mom and sister and they exchanged hugs and stuff and it was… – And it was good.

[the break in sentences like this is a break in time and space… just follow the dialogue and you’ll figure it out.. :o)]

They then went on a tour.  [at U of N]

They picked up Kristina from the airport. [at the airport]

They ate food and picked up some of Justin’s things. [at U of N]

They went to the hotel. [at the hotel]

They went, they now is only Julia and Justin, to the pool and played for a couple of hours in the sinking sand pool, the fountain of doom, and then the hot tub—it was a freakishly cool time. We then watched TV and laughed… and now she is sleeping next to me.

Then they went to bed… (upon writing this update).

All in all today was a Happy Turkey day. I wish my cell phone wouldn’t have died… I would’ve called more people… fun stuff. I love ya and know that I love you too… (ahh what a sap…)

Pray for complete healing and restoration as well as for a complete recovery. Right now the Dr's are saying taht he has a very small chance of walking. Pray that they are wrong. Thanks guys!

Sooooooo

Alright... so I should probably apologize for having such lame updates as of late. I've been really busy and I know that it is really no excuse on the poor updates... but that is definitely how it is right now... I apologize.

SO... I'll do my best to make this as lively as possible... I actually have some information to share about some neat things happening...

THANKSGIVING!!! I get to see my Seester Julia... I am definitely excited... I get to see my Mom and some of my other family too... it should be cool. JULIA!!! :o) I can't wait to see her tomorrow...

Mark... pray that he is comforted over this Thanksgiving holiday--he is still in the hospital in a decent condition... but the DR's said that he would never walk again. We are not going to believe the DR's... we are going to believe that God has a bigger plan in store and we are believing that he will make a full recovery... Pray that the inflamation in his back would lessen so that it would not complicate surgery. We definitely love him. :o)

Alright the last order of business, you like that... business, is Operation John the Baptist 2007. This is a HUGE YWAM ministry thing, 100 teams of 10 or more people, going out all over the world to reach the unchurched people groups. These people on the team are going to prepare the way for missionaries that may feel led to go to these people groups. The John teams will be documenting and evangelising to one people group a week in hopes of giving future missionaries tools to use when they go to minister to them. A friend of mine here is going to lead a team and I am praying about joining him. This Operation John thing is a 10 month outreach we will go to 40 different people groups in 17 different countries. The list so far is: Rome, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Tibet.... and it will keep going. I am hoping that I can be apart of this program it sounds amazing... I am definitely going to pray about it because I need to make sure that this isn't just Justin wanting to go--because I do--and that it is God telling me too. So prayers on that would be good....

Oh and of course prayers on the current things of my life would be good--we are moving towards Outreach phase and I am getting very excited because we are going to be praying about what our ministry is going to look like on Outreach--I'm excited! :o) I am hoping to talk to you all very soon... have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love you tons! :o)

Sleep-y-ness overwhelms me...

Today was like every other day here in YWAM... eventful. We had class and lecture and work duty and dinner... God is speaking and it's really neat to seem him actually work--I'm constantly amazed... I shouldn't be... but I am. Crazy huh?!?

I have a 'job' of sorts for you guys:

"Be praying for one of our contacts here in the states. His name is Mark and he is from Cambodia, his family lives there and they pastor a church, he lives here and works in construction. Today when he was working on a house a large wall fell down he managed to get two of his co-workers out of the way, but the wall fell on him. It might have crushed two of his vertebrae and he has internal bleeding. We are believing God for a full restoration and healing. We've seen God heal one of our other classmates completely and we are expecting him to do the same here. I'll let you know if there are any changes."

THANKS!!!

I LOVE YA!

Audio Blog #1

this is an audio post - click to play

This is an audio blog... this thing will be really useful when I am in Cambodia because I won't always have internet axis... well access... or whatever. :o) So I will be able to leave messages via my voice... I might do that here and there because it is a bit easier... my head hurts a bit so pray for that. I love you guys thanks for all that you are doing back home. Without my prayer support and the love back home I know I wouldn't be where I am now. I really do appreciate you and I hope that these updates are adequate enough--let me know if there is anything specific that you guys want to know. Love ya..

Saturday Info:

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Today was a cool chill day. Chris, Angela, and I went to town and we just hung out all day. We got breakfast (at like 11:00) at U-Top-It, the food was mildly priced and it was tasty. We walked around town and we went to the little Market Place... they have fresh fruit, random things to buy, a weird guy that walks on peoples backs... yeah it was an odd place. THEN we went to the Fun Factory and played DDR, Air Hockey, and we won some styrofome planes... LATER we flew the planes. AFTER THAT we went to Sushi and that was another adventure... I learned, again, how to use Chop Sticks... but by the end of the meal I was back to using my fingers. It was definatly a fun time. EVEN LATER we went back to campus and ate dinner... THEN I want to my room and I slept (this was at 5:30)... then I awoke at (11:35) and ate food ... and then I watched Man on the Moon with Jim Carrey... what an odd movie.

And NOW it's now. ... which means that I am going to muster up some energy to go to sleep.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

So the world is flat...

and I've fallen off of it. ... Yeah... that's the truth, eh?

The past couple of days have been a bit busy and I'm sorry that I haven't been updating... I know... I'm slacking but I'm definatly going to do my part on catching up. I've been sick with VBS, and other things, but now I am not feeling the sickness anymore so things should be going back to the normal... updating as there are updates... kind of thing.

What's been happening lately? Well... I've been growing more with some of the people in Compassion DTS I've been able to make genuine connections with a few more people and it's been really cool.

We finished the Destiny by Design class--and I've decided from what I've seen and from what people were praying over me with and with what I am naturally good at ... that I will probably be in a field where I speak in front of people. Which... is cool cause I have a passion for it.

"I will use Justin for my purposes."
-God

That quote was given to me today. On the first go around you look at it and say... yeah... so is everyone else. But take a minute to look at it. Look how personal and intimate that quote can be-- "I will use Justin for my purposes." Saying that God will be so close to me that I will know what his purposes are... yeah... I really like the sound of that. I also came to the conclusion that I am a bit like the Apostle Paul, as far as Biblical rolemodels, or at least I think I am. Apart from his amazing conversion he is a guy that knew his stuff, and he had a passion for speaking what God wanted him speak, and he was a talented communicator. All in all, I am going to be taking a look at Paul ... that'd be cool.

What else has been going on? ...

hmmmmmm. I'm getting better at basketball, Scott a really cool guy here... is AMAZING at basketball... so we've been playing a lot and Chris and I have been getting better at our game. Fo rizzle.

Oh, tonight, I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It really should have been called Harry Potter and the Goblet of Suckfest. Wow... it totally did the book injustice. It hurt watching. Painful. That's all that I can relive... it was just too painful.

Onto brighter things, life is looking good right now, I am looking forward to Outreach and I am seeing the potential in my team and in myself for great things to come from this Outreach. The fact that we get to help a team that will be staying there for a long time is really making me happy... so it is a goood good thing. That means that once we live a vision and a thing that we helped start won't just die when we arn't there to manage it.

Now that I've updated everything... well at least... everything that I can think of... I will sleep.
: : : justy : : :

For all of us internet nerds out there... Mikey got a temp ban for 72 hours from WoW because he told people how it was... sad day. But Mikey... I feel for ya. :o)

w00t -- yesterday

Yesterday was defiantly a good day. It was a tough day, but it defiantly rocked.

So throughout the day God was redirecting me to him… continually… things weren’t going the way that I would have hoped throughout the day. But it really didn’t matter because God wanted to get my attention.
I went to class and we took the Myers-Briggs test and I, apparently, am a ENTJ. (Chris is a ENTP) It is really cool. So we talked about the God given personalities that we have and the funny thing is … I seem to fit the ENTJ profile rather nicely. Weird huh?

I went to Outreach practice and we talked about the different Outreach opportunities locally and also when we get to the field. We are going to be in contact with a lady in Cambodia and she is going to network us around to see where the needs are. Pray that God puts us where we are needed and where we can have the most Kingdom Impact. We are excited. Locally we are going to go to a church and do a children’s ministry, we are going to go to a hospital, and we are also going to go down into town and do ministry there. So Outreach is looking really exciting at this point. Pray that the excitement and clarity remain—and that God would speak to me specifically.

I had so many random meetings yesterday that had meaning to me. I talked with Lisa Neve and we talked for like an hour. She is such an amazing woman—she is a mom of 5 and she is defiantly a great friend and a crazy cool lady. I talked to Rhonda today too… and it was defiantly a fun thing because she is wise. She is encouraging me to take my ‘issues’ to the Lord per say. That I would be open and honest with God and that I wouldn’t be discouraged to do things because I am sick and not feeling good. And then Chris and I had a really good talk.

I left and went and prayed and talked to God for a long time… and then I passed out. I fell asleep in the prayer room and I awoke @ 1:45 in the morning… with a face in mine telling me to get up… it was really funny. I laughed. SO  I am going back to class now – but I didn’t want to leave a day out of my journal thing. Be praying for health and God’s voice speaking clearly.

WHAOA...

I really don't know what that title says.. bnecause... well... wait... let's try that again... BECAUSE... I am tired.

Today went rather nicely. Aside from my VBS adventures today as well... yeah... I'm still sick. Pray for that.

Destiny by design was freakin' amazing again today--it's really neat to listen to this lasy speak to us because she is actually speaking to us. She wants us to get it. I am so excited for class tomorrow and we are going to be figuring out what we are doing some more.

I didn't go to work duty today, I got it off because I wasn't feeling well, I slept and it was good. I got up ate dinner and then played guitar with Chris and Scott... we worshiped and had a good time it was really cool. And now.. I am going to sleep. I am still not feeling too hot... I am GOING to be in class tomorrow there is really nothing that can stop me from going to class ... you know... nothing short of a hospital visit. HA. But that won't happen... so class will come tomorrow... and I am ready!!! :o) NIGHT.

Sleepy-Sickness...

I'm definatly sick right now... so pray about that cause I feel like diggity dog poop. hehe

Today was really cool, aside from having VBS's (Violent Butt Spurting's) throughout the day... well I'm not trying to gross--wait... I am. I was going to say that I'm not trying to gross you out... but the thing is ... it's been happening ALL day and it needs to stop... :oP.

Our speaker is talking about "Destiny by design" that God has made us for a specific purpose and a specific destiny and that we need to find what it is that we were made for. She was saying, which is true, that we aren't random--that the way that we were made and the way that we act all go towards what God intended us to be in life.

The cool thing is that we will be going over this stuff all week and I am trully excited to do it because it'd be neat to see if this seminar could launch me into what I am supposed to be. I figure that I'll work in the ministry the rest of my life... but who knows what I'll do. (The ministry thought isn't becasue of YWAM... it's because I feel that I am effective there...) So yeah.

Well.. I'm off to bed... it's now 6:20 and it's definatly sleepy time... NIGHT.

$0.50 of bliss...

I did laundry today... ... yeah I know... you're thinking "Wow... he's lame..." but really... laundry! It was amazing. I slept in, missed breakfast and lunch prep, and then I did all of my laundry... I was so happy and excited. It was freakishly amazing! :o)

Alright... so after that Chris and I walked to Wal-Mart... it's definatly about an hour walk there... so that ate up the rest of the day... an hour there ... an hour back and three hours inbetween. I bought Shampoo and a Camera Case... Chris bought books and tapes on speaking the Thai language... you know what? It's REALLY hard to find khmer language tools... it's like no one speaks it or something... and there is a freakin' country... wow... yeah... I'm done.

So we walked and spent 5 hours total walking and hanging out... it was good times.

After the Wal-mart excursion we came back... ate dinner... and then I went with the Compassion group to Dawn and Peters (his name is spelt dutch like... but I can't remember the spelling...) house and played games and ate Ice Cream. Scott and I missed the Ice Cream so we ate Chocolate Covered Banannas instead... it was so worth it. ;o) I gained like 23,434 pounds... I know... I'm a fatty.

I came back to campus, talked with Tiphany/Abbey/Scott/Angela and then I went to my room and talked to Young Il some more... it was a sweet day. But now.. as I end most of my posts... it's time for bed. Sleep.. the great darkness that rejuvinates one's being... yes... I'm weird... but at least I'm happy and weird.

Harpuna or Hapuna?!?

I don't remeber what the beach was called... but we went. And it was great.

I got a bit toasted for my sad white skin, but it's alright, cause we spent the entire day at the beach. We body surfed, boogie-boarded, played football in the water, played keep away [based on gender] with the football in the water, and we had a blast.

Other than the sunburn, today was amazing. We came back to campus @ like 4:30 and ate dinner and then we went down in a HUGE group to town to celebrate Sam's b-day with Ice Cream and Volleyball. It was definatly a good time.

Then Chris, Angela, and I watched the best of Will Ferrel... wow... funny man. ;o) NOW it's the bed that I will go... I'll have to sleep on my stomach--darn back... NIGHT NOW.

I've been here a while...

Crazy huh? I've been at this place for a good while... I only have like 6 weeks left. You know what is funny? I can see myself changing... I can see myself differently. It's really interesting. I think a bit differently now... whereas before I thought one way... and now I think another. ... Wow. Vague, eh? It's really weird though... I am hoping to change more... and I can't wait for Outreach.

--

About Outreach,I may be staying in Cambodia for more than 2 months. There is an option for us going to go for a longer term if we have the funds and if God so says. I am praying about staying in Camboida for another month--granted I won't know until I get to that juncture... but we'll see. Be praying about that for me.

--

This day... we went through the lecture stuff today, again it was neat. I've learned that Cambodians do not have free press, well they have 'free press', but the government recently is quieting dissenting opinion. Also Cambodia is huge for brothels, which is the illegal sexual exploitation of women, underaged girls (sometimes as young as 5), and little boys. Also Cambodia has an entire population consisting of mostly young people... so the field for ministry is huge for me. I am thinking that I will help serve a YWAM team that is already in Batdambong. They are going to be starting up a Youth Center--and I think that is where I want to spend most of my time... Some of my team are going to be serving in Orphanages and in other aspects but we'll see. Again.. prayer on that would be good.

Uhm, I got to hang out with Scott and Chris today, it was really cool we hung out and laughed and talked... it was Sam's birthday today and we were able to laugh and watch the kids silly string him and really 'get him'... the kids were so excited.

After that I came and passed out on my bed... SO. ... That's it.

Well...

I went to sleep yesterday really late. I was up late praying and hanging out. I really can't remember what I did yesterday...

I know I went to class and I know that it was great! I know that I took a shower, because I take one everyday... yeah... and I now that I played guitar... A LOT.

My fingers are all cut up because of the strings... it kills... but it's freakin' amazing. Hey if you have some chords/lyrics handy ... send them my way because I am learning more and more about guitar everyday. I am really excited.

Alrighty... I have to go to class... I'll talk to you all soon... sorry for the lame update.

Aloha' Ke' Kau...

Aloha' Ke' Kau... which means God is Love in Hawaiian. I learned this today because I went to a food kitchen tonight for dinner. We, some of the Compassion DTS, volunteered at a local outreach thing where we met some locals who need help with dinner on Wed's. I hung out with three guys: Kolo, BJ, Eddie--they were 12, 13, 13--and they were funny. They spoke to me in Pidgeon and in Hawaiian. It was so much fun...

For the rest of the day I talked with people, I ate some food, I went to lecture (which were REALLY good...) and now I sleep. But I thought that I'd leave you with one more bit of information because...

Aloha' Ke' Kau.

YEAH! :o)

Now ... comes... the ... sleep... SO. I heart you, thank you for being you, thank you for your thoughts, and for your prayers.

Oh... I was sending a few emails to people and I thought that it would be cool to post some of what I was writing to them...

"God is moving around this place. I'm learning about intercession, not from classes, but because God is pulling me to intercede for people and what not. It's really a cool experience being here and hearing God in a new way. I know I am being changed, even if I can't see how I'm being changed. It's really neat. I am going to be going to Cambodia and I am going to be working with Youths (it's going to be so amazing) and I ... don't really know how to describe it.. but I am FREAKISHLY excited! :o) I am actually going to go to sleep now..."

On that last line... I depart.

*meditation noises*

Ohmmmmmmm.... Uhmmmmmm.... Caruhm.... (I made that last mediation noise up...)

So today was a very cool day. Got up early and ate food, and hung out with Andreas(a 7 year old Danish kid) it was pretty cool. THEN I was able to participate in worship @ the Compassion Tent where we learned on Justice again from Bethany. It was definatly a good time talking and listening.

Afterwards I went to work duty... Jin Young and I are nearly complete with our ColdFusion project so we will be starting a new one very soon.

OH! So today I had this random idea, and I am going to pray about it, but I was thinking that there needs to be a web site around that envokes people to think and pray for the nations of the world. I was thinking of making a site that has information that people bring in, almost like a forum, where they post on what is happening in their Continent->Country->State/Province->City->Town etc, for people to pray and intercede for them and their culture. I am getting reayd to do research on Cambodia and there is really no place where I can get the information that I need so that I can hear what the spiritual climate, the religious climate, the issues, and what not of the country are for me to educate myself. It could be interesting...and I am thinking and praying about this thing--maybe ... it'll work. If not..then this can be another project in the back of my mind that I can work on in my spare time! :o)

I skipped the optional tonight, I went to one last night, and I spent some time alone praying and reading and listening to God. I did some intercession, which was a new feat for me, and it was amazingly cool. I also got to talk to Yuri, from S. Korea, for like 2 hours...she is definatly an amazing person and I'm blessed to be around her. It's freakin' cool.

Well...

I'm...

Going...

To...

Sleep...

........

yeah.

[blank]

I couldn't think of anything at all to title this day as...

Today was a good day. I've been noticing that I've been changing slowly as we progress through DTS. That some of the ways that I think are changing, I'm becoming less critical--well less critical in a negative way--I'm learning when to keep quiet when times call for it. It's a neat transformation. I'm also seeing that I am thinking more of a kingdom impact mind. It's interesting. So, the city that I am going to in Cambodia is called Batdambong. I am going to be doing more research on it soon enough. But I am getting excited about it. I can't wait.

I am praying about extended Outreach. I may have the opportunity to stay a bit longer if time and money permits (and of course God).

OH! This week is going to be freakin' amazing during lecture. There is this 26 year old girl from this organization called the International Justice Mission. It's an NPO (non-profit organization) that is dedicated to seeing the poor and opressed helped. She is speaking on Justice and on how God wants us to seek justice for those who cannot help themselves. For example tonight she talked and showed some undercover footage of the Children's Sex Trade in Cambodia. It is so horrible that they have kids as young as 5 prostituting to make people money... this NPO with some of their undercover investigators (cops), and social workers take footage of what's going on--in a sting like fasion. After they get the footage they show it to the government and the government has to act, if the government doesn't act then IJM [internationl justice mission] shows it to our Government and they make sanctions against the other governments until they start to fix this problem. It's very neat.

The speakers name is Bethany and she's a Princeton gradutaion with a Masters in Divinity--she got an endowment and paid NOTHING to go there... If I can pay NOTHING to go to Princeton I'd go. How sweet would that be!?!? That's all.

So all that to say, lectures are going to be good this week. I can't wait.

Sleep awaits. TTFN - that's all for now.

I am updating... BUT

I am going to a bit lame with this post-- right now -- November 6th, 2005 - @ 9:35PM. I am going to tell you that my camping trip experience was amazing... and that I will post details with pics and movies on how everything went... BUT I can't do it right now because I am VERY tired. ... and I need sleep because I need to get up early tomorrow (6:30 ... yeah that's early if i do say so myself) ... SOOOO I'll talk to you then... In fact I'll just redit this post...
: : : justy : : :
=========================================
(This is where the pics and the media is ... if we were in the future... yeah.)

Alright... so now it is the future...

So we set out for this trip and it was freakin' fun. Overall this was the neatest trip that I've taken yet on this island. We hung out and we played so many mind/riddle games. Like:
-Whoops Johnny
-My World
-A Trip Around The World
-Click, Click, Bang
-Indian Numbers
-A trip on a yacht
-This is the game of umbrella

I... don't know what else to say about that. Other than it was really really fun... onto the pictures...

So on Hawai'i there are 13 of the 14 temporate zones on the islands... the only zone that is not on the island is Arctic Tundra... so it's safe to say that there are MANY differnt types of land in Hawai'i. It's crazy.

There are ...

>weird trees

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>cool people

Oh... and we went 'cliff jumping' it was freakin' amazing... here are some videos and pics...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
>cw-i-ty!

>justy

Oh... and we jumped into this crazy hole... it was amazing!

Alright so after this we traveled to the green sand beach... and it was really cool there was green sand and some killer waves. Oh... and don't forget about the 75ft cliff that Chris and Sam and I jumped off of. You had to get a running start otherwise... you'd hit the rocks. hehe Funny story... I bruised my butt from hitting the water and Chris pulled his groin. ... it was intense!

That night we went down to the Volcano... we tried to take a look at the lava but we had to look at it from a far... oh wait!!!

>well... that's a car... but it almost looks like lava... you can't touch it... like lava... right?

We had to stay away from the lava and where it falls into the ocean because the shelf was unstable a few days earlier they lost about 11 acres because of an unstable shelf... crazy huh? Well... I really wanted to pee on the lava, really it's been a life long dream... so ... I got my wish...

Later that night we went camping and it was amazing. I've never been able to see the stars like I did this night. I saw a few shooting stars and ... wow... it was amazing. It was so clear and beautiful. I was a fan.

THEN... I know... we should be done...BUT

We traveled to some more waterfalls...

>this is sam... he's switz... there's nothing he can't do... check out the grin... ... yeah :o)

What's the difference between boys and girls you ask? ...

>well... this...

>this.

Yup.

>just the guys...

We got to hike up behind that waterfall and there was a pool of water at the base of a tree where we were able to swing from a rope swing into some water. We had one casualty and that was Scott -- the asian viewed above -- by me. He hurt his elbow pretty bad, he didn't grab high enough on the rope... sad day.

CHECK THESE VIDEOS OUT!

That's it... there's the update... I'm done now! :o) Hearts to you!

Hunger Pains Of Today...

Oh man was today a hungry day... :o)

YWAM instituted a fast for the nations, we fasted breakfast and lunch and then we ate dinner. The proceeds of the entire YWAM fast went to the Hurricane Katrina efforts. So today, needless to say, was a hungry day.

After morning classes and praying for the nations we had the rest of the day off. I vegged in a hammock in a tree and listened to music. It was freakin' awesome. Then I went to CostCo with a few people and stocked up on food for this weekend.

A group of us are going to South Point to camp at a Volcano and then we are going to hike up Monakea (i think that's how it is spelled... the largest mountain in hawai'i). We are leaving tomorrow @ 9:00 and then we won't be back until Sunday night. So there will be no update for tomorrow but Sunday I'll update with pics and fun-ness. I'll talk to you soon... and yeah. Sleep and what not is coming SOON. Nighty Night.

Wow--that is what I'll say...

Wow. Today was a very difficult, yet exciting, day. God moved all over me and I definatly was stretched today.

Have you ever had some moments where you just need to go speak to God ... in a yelling sort of way? I did today. It was awesome! :o) I spoke and yelled and shared openly what I was feeling about my Outreach team and about what I was feeling in general and God defiantly met me where I was. He spoke to me [Justin... you're thick... I'm in control.] and gave me peace. It was sweet.

Then later this day I had another trying event where I misunderstood a leader of mine and I heard something when she was speaking to me that I didn't understand at that moment. That momentary lapse of not fully understanding coupled with a cramped schedule caused me to go into a lapse of anger and bitterness. So I worked it out on my own, and then I spoke again with that leader and things were cleared up today as well. But again... God was in control and it was entertaining to watch.

---
Commentary inside of Justin's brain:
-Oh look... he's having a hard time.

-WOAH! He's yelling again... oh wait... now he's laughing... wait... now he is ... walking?

-WOW. He definatly looks calmer now than he did before this all started....
---
x2 (Rinse and repeat...)

So now I feel great and light and free and I am ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new and fun day... and I am ready to take it on as well. I'll be talking to you later... :o)

Cambodia AND Thailand

So today… what was today. A very interesting day.

I’ll lead this update off with the results of the Outreach teams. Chris is going to Thailand while I am going to Cambodia. I know… it sucks a bit. But good things will come through that… right? I’m praying that God’s voice is heard—and if that’s what he wants then that’s fine. I also think it would be wise to pray for unity in the team that I am in. Change and lots of it are coming again… it is a bit overwhelming right now. But it’ll hopefully be a good thing.

I’ll be working with an orphanage and with youth in a place that I cannot name right now. (I’ll have to look it up.) Pray that I find a ministry that fits me because… I want to be impact-ful and useful.

The rest of today was as a normal is life on the base is. I am super tired and I am in need of sleep.

The thing is creaking next to me as I type...

I think the monitor to my left is freaking out. Oh man... every time I start to type it makes noise... hopefully I can push past that to let you in on my day! :o)

Alright, so, ( i had to turn off the computer... wow..), today... lecture in the morning. We have this guy speaking on freedom from the bondages of this world (a.k.a satan and his devices) which is really good stuff. He is talking about practical ways out of depression and anger and what not and he is also dabbling into the spiritual strongholds that the enemy uses to distract us and bring us down. Good stuff.

Then we did some of our Outreach prep, which meant that we did a kind of Readers Theater, they broke us down into small groups of people and we had to read a script to the audeince in a fun and interactive sort of way. I was the Host of a gameshow--it was definatly a fun time.

For the optional tonight I watched Hotel Rwanda. It was amazingly sad and I was surprised that all of that happened and not one entity interfered. So many people died in 1994--and there were no countries that were willing to intervine. Then I think to the other African countries, honestly, so many things are happening down there and not many people are taking notice. Think about the things in the states as well--there are programs in effect, people are being helped--but my mindset is... what more can we do? Rather we need to be doing more... interesting thought. I'm really tired so that may be a bit more jumbled than it should have been.

Then I was able to connect with a few people on the way back to my room--and then my Homework started... now i'm here. Sleep will come soon... really freakishly soon.

Pray: That God's voice and wisdom are given to my leaders ... the are deciding on our Outreach teams and the way that they should go. The number of people in each group, the locations of the outreaches, the people in each team, the ministry focuses and what not as well. So... pray for us. THANKS! :o)

"It's sleepy [hammer] time!"

"Wow Chris is posting!?"
So ofcourse my day went just about the same like always. Exept I went to a lecture instead of seing Rwanda. The guy was talking about being passive, and how it hinders us from so much. It was funny, he asked all the girls in the room if they wanted a passive man...it was a unanimous NO. Kinda funny. We found a partner and prayed with them, but in a different way. We had to pray with them looking them in the eyes the whole time. The reactions to that were pretty interesting. It was good stuff!

I'm in agrement; please pray for outreach, mainly that God's voice is heard in the dicision making process that my leaders are going through.
